Love you Big Time - Addicted to CAS #142

Hello...... Seas the Day for Paper Players # 404

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a fun theme for us:

Now, I have to admit.... the first card I made for this challenge didn't make it to the blog site!  I made a card for a friend who is having men trouble and I used a set called The Trouble with Men from Skipping Stones... but I decided I had probably better do something a little less ...... errrr...... anyway... I changed my mind and created a fun card with a punny side :-)

I couldn't help but re-use the Seas the Day set from Hero Arts.  I really am in love with this set.  It's also a really unusual set for me and I am so glad I did buy it.

It was a really simple card to create.   I created a little scene with the sea-gulls and added a little background - here's a closeup of the gulls!

I used my Copic markers to ground the gulls and bring together the little scene.  I added some gel roller to the beaks of the gulls and just along the "shoreline"

Here's my full card - you can see that I gave the gull with the neckerchief a nautical fashionable blue and white striped garment!

And... I just love the sentiment..... :-)

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  As usual, if you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the designs from our talented design team:

On a personal note:

For some reason the weather has been perfect for our prairie garden this yet.   It is in full bloom and the butterflies and insects are loving it.  It's also the perfect place for the tiniest little baby rabbit I have ever seen to hide :-)

Here's a look at it from about 2 weeks ago.. you can see that some things have started to flower, like the milkweed and the Susans and the bergamot was just starting to flower

When you get close, there is much more going on than first meets the eye:

And it attracts the butterflies - like this swallowtail:

And a new butterfly for our garden - an eyed brown - I just love the incredible markings:

I'll be back later in the week with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

This is the perfect punny note to send for a girly catch-up note Jaydee - love the gull's jaunty neckerchief too! Curious about your other card now though too ;-)

Love the card!!

Now you've peaked my interest Jaydee, would love to see the first card you made! However, you already know I love these gulls, especially the one with the scarf. Terrific punny card!

This is a fun the pun! Your scene is so sweet. Love your flowers beautiful.

Have a great day!

Jaydee, I love your sweet card, and who doesn't love a good pun? I know I do! Love the CAS design of your card. I also adore your flower bed! I just planted milkweed for the first time this summer, can't wait for it to spread and start attracting butterflies! Your photos are delightful...such beautiful blooms and butterflies! Thanks for sharing!!
