Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a warm and sunny color challenge for us
I decided to go with a floral theme. It's been a while since you saw a floral card from me :-)
I really wanted to ink up my Freesia set from Altenew and used my Copic markers to capture the Mango Melody and the Pumpkin Pie. I also incorporated Pumpkin into the card base and used the Saffron as the stripes behind my floral.
Here's a closeup of the stripes... it's pretty subtle, but I hope you can see it
It's much harder to see, but I did also use some in the coloring of the freesia. Here's my full card:
I decorated the inside of the card, too:
And, of course, I had to decorate the envelope:
I hope you will join us and play along this week. As always, if you are looking for some inspiration, our fabulous design team have some great creations:
On a personal note:
I do have a couple of photos to share with you tonight. The red bellied woodpeckers have had several babies this year and we have so enjoyed watching them teach the young how to feed. They visit the jelly feeders and the oranges, but are also active removing insects from our trees. I managed to catch a great photo of one of the redbellied parents:
Don't you think the colors on the head feathers are perfect for the challenge this week? :-) If you look closely on the right hand side, you can see the hole that he had been excavating!
I'll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

This has a lovely serene feel to it Jaydee that is so refreshing with these bright colors. Lovely stamping inside, out, and on the envelope too. This freesia stamp is gorgeous and your layout perfectly balances the flow of the image. Just beautiful, my friend!

Jaydee my first inclination with these colors was to do a floral, and after seeing your card I wish I had. The layer so beautifully, and I love the elegant vertical stem.

This is such a pretty card Jaydee - I love your chosen layout, so perfectly balanced. The subtle stripes are a great addition - did you use your Copics to achieve them? Love the inside and envelope decoration too. Just beautiful!

So pretty, Jaydee, and a great way to use these colors! I didn't notice the subtle stripes at first, but they make for a lovely background!
