Mountain Holiday for Paper Players #422
09 December 2018
HI Everyone.
Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge:
On a personal note:
I thought I would share a few photos from the recent snow storm. It wasn't a lot of snow, but it sure looked pretty!
I managed to get out and take a couple of photos. I love the red lanterns covered in snow, especially with the little trees behind:
The summer grasses also look great in the snow. They provide shelter - and food - for the brids and little critters that visit our garden.
The wetland looked fabulous, too.
One of my favorite new decorations this year, is this fabulous wreath. It hangs on the large mirror in our dining room. It's a 24" wreath and I love the colors and pinecones with the red ornaments.
And here's a photo of the cushions that started this entire red theme - remember..... I am NOT A GOLD girl and I'm not that into sequins, either. Wouldn't believe it after looking at the cushions, would you :-)
I love the plaid blanket/throw, too. So do the cats. They love padding on it - hence all the loose threads!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card - and a little blog fun. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Stamps: Essentials by Ellen - Mountain Holiday
- Card stock: Neenah Solar White #80 and 110#
What a fun card Jaydee and perfect for a winter sports fan! The colour really pops against the white but I think the thing I love most about your card is the subtle added textures - the stitched detailing is lovely and that corrugated card base just fabulous! Your house looks so cosy too!

As always, Jaydee, you've come up with a clean and creative masterpiece. The touches of texture and those stitched ski lines - wonderful. Your photos have been a great source of pleasure over my time with the team. Thank you.

What a fun card, Jaydee! I especially like how you added the stitched framelits underneath the little skiers. The corrugated background is a fantastic pop of texture as well. Snow much fun! Thank you for sharing the beautiful photos of your home, as well. Those lanterns are stunning and your couch looks so festive and cozy.

Jaydee... fun, fun, fun! Such a great card for these stamps. Also love the crinkly background. Someone else did that during this challenge... and I was equally mesmerized!
I can't thank you enough for this year...the team's support and friendship were so precious to me throughout treatment. I have loved being on this DT...it has been so much fun! I will definitely miss the camaraderie each week. I am not disappearing though, I still plan to play along each week!

Jaydee, your friends will love this special card you created just for them! I love the corrugated background and the stitching under the skiers! I always wanted to snow ski, but that will never happen with my bionic knees. LOL! Your home is so beautiful and festive! I was never into gold, but this year I totally changed my great room and I am loving it. Now, sequins are right up my alley! Those red lanterns are so inviting, too! I wish I could visit you and share a cup of tea! Have a great Christmas, My Friend!
