Hi Everyone.
Happy Monday.
Popping in with a quick post today. I did manage to spend a little time in my craft room yesterday and played along with this great sketch at FreshlyMade
As the vertical element was going to be popped off the page, I didn't want to add more bulk to the card by adding an embossed or speciality paper for the middle element. I decided to use a stencil to create a pattern for that area instead. I then used my Ellen Hutson stitched dies to add a stitched detail above and below the stenciling.
Here's a closeup:
For the vertical element, I stamped two flowers from the Altenew Stunning Cosmos set and die-cut them with the matching dies.
I added a little shimmer and shine to the flowers with a gel roller:
I mounted the pink flower and stem directly onto the card base, but popped up the yellow flower to add some dimension.
A nice, bright card with spring in mind.... Mind you, looking out of our window - Spring is a long way away. Oh... and let's not talk about the weather advisory that puts us at close to -50 from Tuesday to Thursday!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Congrats from me too! Love your cosmos card and the one you did ages ago. P.S. I thought I recognized the pinstriped paper you used a while back as one of the SU Nautical DSP, but I was wrong. Oh well. Stay warm and we'll meet in the spring! Hugs!

Beautiful, Jaydee! I love your interpretation of the middle panel- the stitched lines are perfect. Loving the bright springy florals- you are right, spring is looking a long way off but at least we can look at these flowers! Thanks for sharing with us at FMS!
