Hi Everyone.
Happy Monday. Quick post for you today.
I did manage to get into my craft room and make a card yesterday and I decided to play along with the sketch challenge across at Freshly Made Sketches , The Library Challenge and Watercooler Wednesday
I was lucky enough to win a $25 gift voucher from the Fusion Challenge 5th birthday celebration. It didn't take me long to spend the $25 and a few more when I shopped at Casual Fridays Stamps. I've used three of the stamps from my windfall for this card. The book cover at the Library Challenge was the start of my idea for using the goodies and I think they worked perfectly with the great sketch at Freshly Made.
I began by stamping the notes diagonally across the page in grey and then die-cut a frame for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto the frame and added the die-cut treble clef. The front frame was mounted on fun foam.
Here's a closeup of the fabulous treble clef and the background stamping:
Isn't that fabulous? I love the clean and simple lines of the die-cut - and it was a great way to use my last piece of SU red glimmer card stock. BTW... it cut like a dream first time I ran it through my die-cutting machine and the stamps worked perfectly first time around, too!
As Lou is a musician (he plays 4 instruments), I thought these would be great sets to use for him, especially for Valentine's Day.
Here's the full card:
Of course, I had to decorate the inside:
And the envelope:
I was really pleased with the way the whole thing came together. I've never won anything before, so it was wonderful to be the lucky recipient of the gift voucher and certainly had fun shopping at Casual Fridays Stamps!
I'll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Beautiful design Jaydee! And who could resist that "punny" sentiment given your music staff stamped image and treble clef die? I hope Lou knows how much we're all swooning over this totally gorgeous card!!
