Hi Everyone.
Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Barb's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a fun code word for us:
I decided I needed to stock up on some birthday cards and had this teapot stamp that came free as part of a set in a UK card making magazine. Lou picked a couple of them up at Sydney Airport in Australia and they were being sold at 50% off. So, this stamp was included in a magazine sold in England, that was transported around the world to Australia to be sold there. Bought by a guy in Sydney and brought over to the US. Talk about the global appeal of our craft :-) Anyway, what was I saying? Oh, yes! I thought the teapot stamp would be perfect for the ombre technique. I tried a couple of different colors (green, blue, purple) but decided that pink was my favorite - even though pink is SO not my favorite color! I love the sentiment that comes with the set.
Here's my card:
I used another image from the same set for the inside and paired it with a sentiment from an Altenew set called Beautiful Inside.
The tamp set has some fun stamps in it, including a trio of ducks (mommy and two babies) playing in puddles. I'll be using this to create cards for SendASmile4Kids. Not bad for a freebie included in a magazine :-)
I hope you will join us and play along this week. We can't wait to see your ombre creations. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you, including our fabulous guest designer Hannelie
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
I used to have a pink tea pot, Jaydee, but sadly it was not ombre' like your pretty one.

Love the story about your world traveling teapot, Jaydee! It looks great in pink ombre, and I do love what you did on the inside too.
