Hi Everyone.
Happy Easter Sunday.
It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and it's Clean and Simple Week.
I needed a baby card and used another one of the freebies that Lou got for me on a recent trip to Australia. This stamp and a few others came in one of the card crafting magazines. It's the cutest possible image and I decided to keep it really clean and simple. The only part of the ducks that I could paper piece were the wellies. So, I got some left over plaid and stamped out the image onto it and the fussy cut around the boots. the rest of the image I colored with some very loose watercoloring.
Here's a closeup of the paper pieced wellington boots:
Aren't they the cutest things? :-)
Here's my full card:
I hope you will join us and play along with Anne Marie's Clean and Simple challenge this week. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Ah! the snow has all melted and there are little tiny bits of green popping up. We know winter has finally lost its grip as the Junco's have all flown north. It really is amazing the way they are here one minute and gone the next!
I have spent the last couple of weeks spring cleaning and sorting. It has felt wonderful to have the doors and windows open and the fresh air flowing through the house. We carted off boxes of stuff to our local charity shop as I sorted through books and household items. One of the things I have been wanting to sort out for ages is the linen cupboard. Oh.. it felt so good to sort that out. I wrestled the fitted sheets to the ground, and finally got them to lie flat. Everything is now neatly in its place in the cupboard and labeled. Lou laughs at my labeling, but at least when I say to him "go get the bedding for the east guest room he doesn't have to wander around trying to work out what they look like! :-)
Spring cleaning continues outside today and I can't wait to get the screened in porch ready for the rest of spring, summer and autumn. It will be lovely sitting out there in the warmer weather and I can't wait to use it.
I'll be back tomorrow with some more cards. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

This mama and her ducklings really are the cutest Jaydee - and their little plaid wellies are adorable! A perfectly CAS card and so fun too! I know what you mean about spring cleaning too; I got Ben to help me tackle his room and the spare room storage a couple of weeks ago and it's so satisfying when complete! Hope you are enjoying a restful Easter weekend. xx
