Hi Everyone
Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and it's color week:
Now,, I have to be honest... these colors scared me! They are such bright colors - and I didn't have two of them in my stash! So, I had to make do.
I had this image in my head using two old SU favorites - Beautiful You and Mediterranean Moments. I stamped out the lady onto Neenah Solar White card stock and then again onto two different pieces of old SU DSP that I had. I then fussy cut them all out and stuck them together. I colored the background using greens, reds and just a touch of yellow on the lamp. I colored the door to match the Pool Party card base. As we are allowed neutrals with our color challenges, I colored the buildings, bridge and cobblestones in grey.
Here's my card:
I stamped the lady on the inside, too and added the sentiment:
I hope you will join us and play along. We'd love to see what YOU create with these bright, summer colors. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
It's sunny! yay! The temps are also getting above 60 degrees. So, that means it's time to prettify our screened in porch and get it ready for summer. I can't wait to be able to sit outside and watch the goings on in the wetland without being bitten by the mosquitoes!
I changed my office around and now have a bird feeder right outside my window. I managed to capture a couple of shots of a new little visitor to our garden
Isn't he a gorgeous little thing? He's a Yellow Rumped Warbler and you can read more about him here.
We also had another new bird in the garden - a Harris's Sparrow. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anything close to a viable photo of him - so am hoping he stays around so I can get one.
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there - whether your children are human or furry! I hope you have a wonderful day.
I'll be back tomorrow, in the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
