Backyard Party for Paper Players #466
03 November 2019
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and it's theme week!
I must admit that when I first saw this theme, I really wished I had a little girl in a red cape - or a fox with big ears and big teeth :-) Anyway, I didn't have either of those things, so went with something a little more conventional instead :-)
It was a great excuse for me to ink up some stamps from Ellen Hutson from a set called Backyard Party. I stamped, colored and die-cut each of the elements and then blended some "sky" and some "grass" onto my focal layer.
Deciding how I was going to arrange this little scene was the hardest for me. I just don't "do" scenes and am always so impressed by people who make them look so easy. Anyway, I think the scene is beautifully framed with the Sizzix Hemstich dies - one of my new favorite die sets :-)
Here's my card:
This is another card that I made for SendASmile4Kids and I hope it makes someone smile!
I hope you will play along with us this week and, as is usually the case, our design team have some fabulous cards as inspiration for you and they are all so different.
I'm hoping to get into my craft room to escape the dull, grey, cold, windy weather tomorrow. I really need to exercise my crafting gene as I haven't had chance to do it all week! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

LOL, the picture does kind of look like Little Red Riding Hood entering the spooky woods! But I am glad you chose more light-hearted critters for your cute woodland card! They're adorable!
