Christmas Bells for Freshly Made Sketches #412
24 November 2019
Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday. My second post for today!
I have a quick post for you tonight featuring a new stamp set that Lou brought back from his trip to a scrapbooking store when he was across in Australia. I didn't ask him to go, he went and phoned me when he got there. Mind you, he did forget that it was 1.30 in the morning my time when he called me :-) He asked me what I wanted from the store and I told him to get me anything "Australiana" or made in Australia. One of the sets, was this fabulous set of bells from the Paper Rose Studio. I love the bells and couldn't wait to use them with my shimmer water color paints.
However, I needed a sketch! Voila, the one at FreshlyMade was absolutely perfect for the set.
Here's a closeup of the watercoloring. I used two different shades of gold for the bells, ribbon and clanger and then a soft green and red for the leaves and berries.
I fussy cut the bells and mounted them on foam tape onto a stitched rectangle. The rectangle is mounted to the base on fun foam. The Joy sentiment comes from the same set.
Here's my card:
I just love the font on that sentiment and have all sorts of ideas about what to do with these bells! I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
