Christmas Blessings for Addicted to CAS
23 November 2019
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Bobby's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and here is her code word:
When I was creating a card for this challenge, I realized that I had no card front sentiments that fit that challenge. Then I thought about it.... why do you have to use a "headline" sentiment. What's wrong with using the sentiments that were meant more for "internal" and change it up and use it for the front of the card. Well, that was my thinking, anyway!
I used a "Merry Christmas" from the Altenew set - Beautiful Inside and Out and paired it with a smaller sentiment. I paired that with a piece of beautiful Stampin' Up! paper from the "Feels like Frost" paper set.
Here's my card:
I tied both pieces together with stitched rectangle dies. I love the soft, serene look of the card.
I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week. The design team really does have some fabulous - and varied - inspiration for you.
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Wow - I love this card!! I saw it on the Addicted to CAS email and just had to see what items you used to create it. I have this paper from Stampin Up and just LOVE IT. I would love to know which stamp set you used for the greeting beneath the Merry Christmas stamp. It's such a lovely saying and the font on this one is spectacular. I make a LOT of cards to send to the military and this saying is PERFECT to include on those cards. If you can, please let me know. GREAT JOB ON THE CARD!

Really clever way to use your sentiments, Jaydee! I love how you layered the sentiment panel and the branches are just beautiful!

Gorgeous card, Jaydee. I love your thought process on the sentiment. ilove the patterned paper you used paired with that wonderful sentiment panel and that little bit of silver embossing.

What a lovely card.
The paper and the sentiment all make a peaceful looking card.
I must get that sentiment. I see it's from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set.

The sentiment is perfect as the focal point of your soft and peaceful card, Jaydee.
