Christmas Cardinal for Paper Players #469

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us.

I decided it was time to ink up my favorite SU set - Christmas Cardinal.  I haven't used it for a few weeks.  I went with a red base this time - so unusual for me!

Christmas Cardinal (1 of 1)

I paired the image with some Christmas Toile DSP and, of course, had to frame the base layer with my stitched frames dies.  I have no idea what I would do without these!

I hope you will join us and play along with Joanne's challenge this week.  As usual, the design team have some wonderful inspiration for you.

On a personal note:

I managed to get into my craft room yesterday.  Charlie and I spent a good couple of hours.  He mostly slept - and I crafted.  We do have occasional breaks to play "chase the tail" on his climber.  He runs up and down the climber and I try catching his tail.  He just loves the game, but then gets tired out and needs a sleep.  He normally curls up right at the top of the climber.  He really is an absolute cutie.  During the week he spends most of the day in a chair in my office.  At this time of the year, the sun comes streaming in and he loves to stretch out in the sun:

This morning, we awoke to the tail end of what must have been a beautiful sunrise.  I tried to capture a view of it with my phone... sadly, it doesn't really do it justice - but it really was beautiful.

I'll be back later with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
