Happy Tuesday. I have a quick post for you tonight showcasing a card I made using this sketch from casethissketch
It didn't take me long to decide what to do with this sketch, especially as I had a new die sitting on my craft table - courtesy of my wonderful hubby, who brought back a bag full of goodies from a scrapbook store he visited when he was down in Australia!
I used grey cardstock for the die-cut and removed two buildings on either side of the middle trio. I then stuck a piece of yellow card stock behind a couple of the windows trying to indicate that they were the only lights on in the middle of the night. I remember that my Mom would always say to me "i'll keep the lights on for you" when I was going out as a teenager and it got me to thinking about how we miss the people we love when they are not with us. Anyway, that was the basis of the thought for my card and it's one that I can give to Lou on his next trip :-)
Here's my card:
Well, I think it is certainly worth keeping the lights on for a hubby that goes into a scrapbook store to buy you things half-way around the world :-)
I'll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
