A trio of Snowmen for Paper Players #471

Happy Sunday!

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host this challenge of the year at the Paper Players.  It's color week!

When I saw this photo, I immediately thought back to the 60s and 70s when flock wallpaper was all the rage, except it wasn't cooling shades of blue!  Am I the only one who remembers that paper?

I decided to use silver as my main color and brought out some old SU silver shimmer card stock and colored my snowmen with the remaining colors.

Here's my card:

Happy SNowmen (1 of 1)

Aren't they such a cute trio!  I used a wonky oval stitched die as I thought the whimsical feel of it worked with the snowmen.

I hope you will join us and play along with our last challenge.  It's also time to say goodbye to our guest designers, Su, Wanda and Windy.  It's been great having you as part of our team for this year.  Thank you for being a part of our team!

On a personal note:

It's certainly to look a lot like Christmas in our neck of the woods.  The snow we had a week or so ago is still covering our garden and the wetland and we are seeing lots of activity at the feeders.

A couple of years ago we started off with a single pheasant.  He then got himself a couple of girlfriends.  Now, we have 9 pheasants hanging around under our cedar trees.  They have taken up residence between the trees.  It's sheltered from the wind, they are out of plain sight of the hawks, and they are close to the feeders.  They are really skittish, so I couldn't get out on to the deck to take a photo, so I had to take it through the kitchen door - and the uprights of the deck!

Pheasant (1 of 1)
I'm hoping to get into my craft room today.  It's cold, windy and grey.  Seems like an ideal day to go play with some pretty papers :-)  After that, it will be time to put on some Christmas music and write Christmas cards.  There's something about writing Christmas cards and listening to Christmas music that puts me in the mood and makes me smile.  Warm hugs and prayers to all of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs
Jaydee

Such an adorable little snow-family! I love your clean design and how you showcased the challenge colors so beautifully. That shimmery silver cardstock really needs to make a return, too. It's so pretty! Speaking of pretty, I'm smitten with your pheasant photo. I keep going back to look at all of the beautiful detail in his feathers. Wow! How fun to have them right outside your door! Have a great day, my friend!

Jaydee, Snowmen cards are among my favorite, and your family is adorable in these colors!

Thank you for having me as a guest designer; I've enjoyed it thoroughly. You'll still be seeing me, though, because I'll continue as a participant. Hugs!

Love the snowmen card. Love fresh snow, as we may get some soon. Yes, I remember that wallpaper. We had it where I grew up and when my mother got tired of the color, she (and me) painted each blue part beige to match the other walls. Not very pretty. LOL

What a cute little trio of snowmen..and I love the Brushed Silver card...I am still hoarding a little of mine! Thanks for making my colors look fabulous this week! And the pheasant...oh my goodness, I can remember as a kid seeing lots of them in our farm area...now, we rarely see them! So pretty!

Your collection of snowmen is super cute Jaydee and I love the shimmery silver base - I have some of this hoarded away too! Great pheasant photos - I see them most days on my journey to and from school as I pass the Althorp estate, so handsome!
