Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I was lucky enough to get into my craft room yesterday. Of course, I went to some challenge sites looking for inspiration. Luckily, FreshlyMade has a sketch that is running over the holiday period. I decided the sketch was a great excuse to pull out some of the new SU paper that is coming up in the Sale A Bration catalog. I absolutely LOVE this paper. In fact, I love it so much, that I used it to make 3 different cards yesterday! If you haven't seen it, check out "Golden Honey Speciality" paper on google... Read more →
Happy Thursday! I played along with a new challenge (new to me that is!) - InspireCreateChallenge using these fabulous colors: I decided to pull out my favorite SU stamp - Christmas Cardinal. I used an old Tim Holtz stencil to create an emboss paste background. Here's my card: I really love how versatile this set is and, even though it's a "Christmas" set, I know it's going to get a lot of use for things other than Christmas cards. Happy Tuesday! I saw this great sketch across at Casethissketch I knew that I wanted to use the Good Morning Magnolia flower and pair it with my newest SU love "Golden Honey Speciality Designer Series Paper". I began by stamping the flower and then coloring it with gold shimmer water color inks from kuretake. The only problem I had..... is that the flower naturally runs left to... Read more →
Happy Saturday! I don't have a Paper Players card for you tonight, as last week was our last challenge of 2019. However, FreshlyMadeSketches has another great sketch and I was inspired to play along. When I saw the sketch, I had to think for a while about what my vertical elements would be. When I was looking through my stock, I remembered by Stunning Cosmos and thought that they might just work. I know it's winter and there is snow on the ground, but I really wanted to play with soft, spring colors. I embossed the cosmos with silver embossing... Read more →
Hi Everyone... .Second post for today! I did get to spend some time in my craft room and I couldn't wait to play along with this fabulous sketch from Freshly Made and it allowed me to use on of my favorite Penny Black Sets - Joyful Holiday As soon as I saw this sketch, I had this idea in my head of combining my very old Taylored Expressions woodland die with this fabulous deer. Of course, the postbox in this set caught my attention. It so reminds me of England. I began by die-cutting the woodland die and I used... Read more →
