Happy Saturday!
I don't have a Paper Players card for you tonight, as last week was our last challenge of 2019. However, FreshlyMadeSketches has another great sketch and I was inspired to play along.
When I saw the sketch, I had to think for a while about what my vertical elements would be. When I was looking through my stock, I remembered by Stunning Cosmos and thought that they might just work. I know it's winter and there is snow on the ground, but I really wanted to play with soft, spring colors. I embossed the cosmos with silver embossing powder and then used my kuretake pearl shimmer watercolor paints to add the springy-pink to the inside of the flowers.
I felt the background needed just a little something, so I took my embossing paste and stencil and added a little interest. While it was wet, I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and then heat set it with my heat gun.
I adhered the stems directly to the base, but popped up the flowers with a foam square. I added a sentiment, popped it up and the card was finished.
Here's my card:
On a personal note:
Lots of snow on the ground. It really does look like a winter wonderland and we are guaranteed of a white Christmas! Lou and I were out shopping a couple of night's ago and witnessed a fabulous sunset. The sky was just gorgeous.
I was just sorry that I couldn't find a house facing the right direction that had Christmas lights on it! But... it was a beautiful sight, anyway!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee
