Fashion Fun for Paper Players

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week - and it's CLEAN and SIMPLE week.  Laurie chose a theme for her CAS challenge and it gave me the opportunity to use some paper from a sampler pack that came from SU.

This card was so simple to put together.  Die cut a couple of rectangles.  Adhere fun foam to them.  Adhere it to the card and stamp a sentiment!

Here's my card:

Fashion Fun (1 of 1)

I love the loose watercolor on this paper.  Of course, I also love my hemstitch dies :-)

I hope you will play along with our challenge this week.  We can't wait to see what you create.  The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

I finally managed to do something creative this week!  I got to spend some time in my craft room and made a couple of cards.  It took me forever though!  Do you have days like that?  You know you really want to go and make cards, but your head just isn't in the game and suddenly you end up having thrown away three cards that you started?  Please tell me I am not the only one :-)

I thought I'd share a photo of some of our visitors from this week.  We get so few of these guys visit us anymore and, when they do, they are extremely skittish.  Our city mayor decided that they were people killers and had to be culled!  I am not even going to tell you what I think about THAT!  As they are so skittish, I can't photograph them from the deck, so have to do it from the safety of the kitchen door.  All I did was open the door a fraction and the click of the camera as it took the photo caused them to rush off.  We do miss seeing them as frequently as we used to.

Deer (1 of 1)-4

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

How in the world do they consider deer "people killers"?? I love your wildlife photos. I love all kinds of birds & critters & I so enjoy the wonderful pictures you manage to take of them in your great habitat area that you so wonderfully take care of. I have never seen a opossum close up & didn't realize that they have those cute little pink areas. I hope you continue to take care of your little corner of the wildlife habitat no matter what other folks declare!!

Wow! I love that paper, it was just perfect for this challenge, too. The deer around us are not as skittish as they used to be. we are wondering it someone is feeding them nearby.

Clean and simple "fashion fun" perfection, Jaydee! You have such a gift when it comes to CAS cards. I adore your wildlife pictures. I would love to live where you do, and be blessed with so many amazing visitors. Have a wonderful week!

Love your card, Jaydee - simple sentiment on a wonderful die cut. Perfect! And yes. Yes I do have those days. The days of no-mojo. Usually when I really really NEED to make a card! LOL! Our deer aren't so skittish - except during hunting season. We see ours all the time - and, now that I know they're "killers" - I'm going to be way more worried about that. sheesh.... I'm sorry your mayor is....an idjut. ;)

Stef Perry

You do CAS the best, Jaydee! I wasn't familiar with that dsp and it sure looks like you watercolored it. Love the font on that sentiment too!

So sad about your Mayor making what I would consider ridiculous reasoning for reducing the deer population. At least this group felt comfortable enough to visit your property.

Stef Perry

P.S. you are not alone having "those days"...creating is a process and sometimes that means multiples with lots of trial and error LOL!

LeAnne

Great minds think alike! I almost used this paper myself! I agree, it was an easy-peasy card to put together and your die is amazing!

Joanne James

I love this paper too Jaydee and the handbags along with that sentiment are so perfect together - great die detail too. You always know how to rock a CAS card! Glad it's not just me that has days when creativity eludes me - usually it's worse the longer I've been away from my desk. Love that you continue to foster wildlife in your little corner of the world - the mayor sounds like a nightmare and definitely short-sighted. Have a creative, craft-filled week!

Jaydee

Karen.... so glad you liked the photo of the opossum - such an adorable little animal. I havent seen him for a few days so thing he must be hibernating during the really cold days. I'm so glad you share my love of birds and critters. They make our lives so much more interesting.

Thanks, Ann! Yes, we are very blessed to be surrounded by the animals and birds that share our little neck of the woods. How they survive winter never ceases to amaze me. We really do feel very lucky

Thanks, Mary! You are right the no-mojo days really do seem to come when you NEED to make a card. Oh... and you're right about the mayor, too!

Thanks, Stef! This paper really does make it look as though I worked much harder than I did to make it! And we are glad the deer still decide to visit us. I woke up and found 3 of them sleeping in the woodlands the other day, it was so beautiful to see it! even though it was pretty dark the moon was shining and I could see their shapes against the white of the snow.

Thanks, Joanne! Glad I'm not alone in those mojo-less days! We love the wildlife and will continue to help them - regardless of our mayor!
