Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday - again:-)
I have another card for you today. I made this one using the sketch across at FreshlyMade
Honestly, I have such a problem creating cards that aren't symmetrical... there's something in my brain that just doesn't work that way, so, because I am a contrarian, I had to create something using this sketch :-) As an aside, my Mother always said she should have called me Mary as I was always contrary :-)
Anyway, I digress :-) I created this clean and simple card with the Honey Bee Bundle. I die-cut the honeycomb and then used the negative space that was left behind as a mask and used my yellow ink to blend in some color. I then adhered the die-cut honeycomb on top.
I stamped the bee, die-cut it and added a little glimmer to his wings with a gel pen, and yellow to his body with a Copic marker. I added some So Saffron paper behind the focal layer and stamped and adhered the sentiment. Easy. Peasy!
Here's my card:
Of course, I had to decorate the inside!
On a personal note:
UGH! My camera has broken........ so, I had to take these photos with my iPhone and the lighting wasn't too great. So, that's something I am going to have to sort out tomorrow as I have more cards that I need to photograph!
Hopefully, I will be back tomorrow with another card! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Cardstock: Neenah Solar White #110. So Saffron - SU
- Inks: Ink on 3 - black
- Stamps: Honey Bee Bundle - Stampin' Up! Sentiment: Altenew. Inside sentiment: Honey Bee Designs
Thanks, Karren. It was a great sketch... but it sure was tough without symmetry.... :-)

You nailed this card - given your preference for symmetry (I am the same!). This is just fabulous! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Great card.......see, you can do it!! A little "off center" looks great!! EGADS!! A broken camera....that will have to be remedied!! How can we see your great "critter" pictures in your habitat without a camera? Lovely card.
