Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Raga's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and this is her code word: Now... this was an interesting challenge as symmetry can have multiple meanings. For me, I went with "correct or pleasing proportion of the parts of a thing". The wonderful thing about about a honeycomb is the symmetry.. There is something very pleasing about it. So, I used that as the background and added a trifecta of bees :-) Here's my card: I hope you will join us this week. We can't wait to see what you... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Some of you may have read this post where I talked about having a card image in my head based on the sketch across at FMS (it really reminded me of an upside down fish bowl)! Well, that didn't materialize for that card as I went in a totally different direction. However, when I saw this photo across at the Just Us Girls Challenge I knew that I HAD to make a fishy card! I have a piece of DSP from an SU set called See a Silhouette. Well, there is one piece in there that... Read more →

Hi Everyone. I promise this is the last post for today - and I'll make it quick :-) I had forgotten that the Atlantic Hearts challenge closes today and, considering the time it took me to color this image, I wanted to make sure that I got the card into the challenge in time :-) Here's the sketch from AtlanticHearts I used one of my new dies from SU to create the focal layer and then inked up the hibiscus flower from Timeless Tropical. To make the horizontal elements, I brought out my Ellen Hutson essential dies again. I really... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday, again! I saw this great sketch across at FreshlyMade and couldn't wait to play along. Mind you, I had NO idea what I was going to do. I had this image in my mind to make a snow globe card... but I am so tired of snow, I didn't even want to think about that! I then decided I could make a nice shaker card with an upside down fish bowl... but gave up that idea. In the end, I went with something totally different! Here's the sketch: Maybe now you can see why I had... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week: I decided to ink up one of my newer sets for this and use some of the DSP that I got in a variety pack from SU. Golf isn't "my" thing, but I know lots of people who play, so this was a great set to use on cards to send to my golfing friends. I used two of the DSP sheets and used them for the background. I stamped the image and colored it then die-cut it with... Read more →
