Gnomies for Paper Players #476
02 February 2020
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and it's theme week!
I decided it was the perfect opportunity to bring out my gnome die. I am obsessed with gnomes right now! I die-cut him using some SU DSP and backed him onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used the Spellbinders Hemstitch dies to create an interesting border for him. It might be a little hard to see, but I added some shading on his beard and colored his nose.
I hope you will join us and play along this week. We can't wait to see what you do with this challenge. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Today it is going to reach 43 degrees! It was so warm overnight that I could hear the snow melting off the roof the whole night. It's wonderful to feel warmer temps and to see the sun. We know it won't last long, but we will enjoy it for today!
I was sitting in my office and was caught site of something in the corner of my eye... I looked up and saw my visitor:
She was munching away at the plant seeds on the echinacea that are left over from fall. She didn't hang around long before she bounded off. But it was wonderful spending a couple of minutes with her:-)
I'll be back later with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Die: Gnome - Simon Says Stamp
- DSP: SU
- Sentiment: Gnomes - Paper Rose Studio
- Dies: Spellbinders Hemstitch
I just love your little gnome in the argyle print! The soft shading on his beard looks fabulous, too. You can never go wrong with a punny sentiment. Such a sweet card, all around. Your little visitor is so sweet! I have a little squirrel who likes to sit outside my stamp studio window and antagonize my cats. It's so funny to watch. He knows exactly what he is doing!

Those little red hearts just pop! Thank you for making my challenge shine this week. Your card is full of LOVE! As for the beautiful visitor, just WOW! I would love to see him in my yard. You always have the best guests, My Friend! Have a lovely week! XX

Oh - this is too cute! Love that die cut - and the die-cut border is great, too! What a sweet visitor! They hang around our place all the time (no snow, though!). Isn't it wonderful when they spend a little time in our presence?!?

I adore those SSS gnomes and used the kit to make lots of Christmas cards. Love how you featured him and the punny sentiment on your perfect CAS card, Jaydee! It's always a treat to visit your blog for your beautiful creations and the bonus of seeing some wonderful wildlife visitors!

I love that you're obsessed with gnomes at the moment Jaydee - not the usual thing to be obsessed with but hey, we crafters are an interesting bunch! I love how you've gently coloured him and the sentiment is cute. How magical to have such a beautiful visitor! Vicky x

Thanks, AM. Isn't it amazing how the squirrels love to tease the cats because they know there is a window between them!
