Hi Everyone. I promise this is the last post for today - and I'll make it quick :-) I had forgotten that the Atlantic Hearts challenge closes today and, considering the time it took me to color this image, I wanted to make sure that I got the card into the challenge in time :-) Here's the sketch from AtlanticHearts I used one of my new dies from SU to create the focal layer and then inked up the hibiscus flower from Timeless Tropical. To make the horizontal elements, I brought out my Ellen Hutson essential dies again. I really... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday, again! I saw this great sketch across at FreshlyMade and couldn't wait to play along. Mind you, I had NO idea what I was going to do. I then decided I could make a nice shaker card with an upside down fish bowl... but gave up that idea. In the end, I went with something totally different! I went looking for some inspiration and saw this great sketch across at Just Add Ink: As soon as I saw this sketch I knew that I wanted to use the new Little Ladybug set. So, I stamped up the images and got to work with my Prismacolor pencils! I added some striped DSP (kind of reminded me of grass) :-) Here's my card: Such a super... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's my turn to host the Paper Players clean and simple challenge this week and it's theme week: I decided to pull out an old set from Ellen Hutson called Backyard Party. I'm still making cards for SendaSmile4Kids, and this set is idea for that. I paired the stamped images with a background of woodgrain card stock from Altenew. I had fun coloring the images and created a balloon out of vellum. Here's my card: I love this little pirate...... he frequents us regularly in summer. We see much less of him during winter, but did... Read more →
