Stampin! with Jaydee

Hi there.  Happy Saturday.

I have two cards to share with you tonight.  They were both made using the great sketch across at AtlanticHearts.  It uses a couple of sneak peek products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2021-2021 catalog: Forever Fern, Tasteful Textile, Forever Greenery, Forever Flourishing, as well as an old standard - Free as a Bird.  For my second card, I paired the sketch with the color challenge across at Color Dare

What I loved about this sketch is that you can go with a CAS design or use layers of DSP.  So it is really flexible.  For my first card I went the CAS route.  I used texture to add interest for the horizontal and matted frame elements.  I ran a piece of card stock through my Big Shot and the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  This is really destined to become a go to product, I think!  I added a leaf that I stamped from the Forever Fern set and that had been die-cut using the matching die from the Forever Flourishing die set.  I stamped and colored one of the birds from Free as a Bird and colored it similar to a Goldfinch.  I added a sentiment from the same set.  I popped the focal layer up on some fun foam and adhered the rest of the elements.  I added a little depth to the soft look of the stamped leaves with a marker.

For my second card, I decided to use some of the fabulous DSP from the Forever Greenery DSP as well as die-cut leaves from the Forever Flourishing dies.    This worked perfectly for the Color Dare challenge of monochromatic greens. The sentiment is from the Forever Fern set.  Here's my second card:

I am really trying to use more of the fabulous DSP that I have in my stash and these papers from the new Forever Greenery are gorgeous!
