Hi there.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. For some reason, I decided these colors would be good on a Christmas card and inked up and colored the polar bear from My Favorite Things Christmas Selfies. Considering it was 28 degrees and snowed last night, no wonder I was in the mood for a Christmas theme!
Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo are waaaay too bright for me, but I am a fan of Pool Party! Luckily I had a piece of DSP that worked perfectly for the background. I stamped the bear and colored his scarf, hat and present in the same colors. I framed him with the Polaroid Frame from My Favorite Things.
Here is my card:
I just love that bunny sentiment!
I hope you will join us and play along with Claire's challenge. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
I wanted to share a photo of our little visitor that first made an appearance a year ago. I am so surprised that he/she is still around, but he/she is doing well and comes visiting a couple of times a week.
During winter we noticed that he/she was living in a large nest in our woodland. In fall, we watched her running up and down the tree with newly fallen leaves. It must have been warm and cozy in there over winter. It's hard to tell from the photo below, but that really is a LARGE nest in a LARGE tree. According to the Fish and Wildlife service, they can be about the size of a basketball.
I'll be back later with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Thanks, Claire. I have seen those (masked face fox squirrel) when we did a trip down to South Carolina. I was fascinated - they really are the cutest little things!

Thanks, LeAnne. apparently there were a couple born at the same time. We don't see him/her often, but it's fun when she/he does pop along! It was even more fun in winter when there was snow cover on the ground. It was almost as though the snow was moving! :-)

What a great way to use these colours for Christmas Jaydee - you can never be too organised! Your white polar bear balances the brights nicely and the DSP is a great choice. And what a fun visitor too!

I think those colors are fun to use for Christmas and way to balance out the bright ones with the soft pool color! That bear is so cute and looks fabulous is his polaroid shot!

Jaydee, I love that you used my colors for a Christmas card. Way to step out of the box! This background paper is perfect and it looks like that little polar bear is ready for a party. Your card made me smile! I love your little visitor! A white squirrel is an odd site. We used to have raccoon squirrels when we lived at the lake. They are cute, but oh so pesky, too! I hope you have a wonderful week, My Friend!
