I have another card to share with you using the new Stampin' Up! Forever Fernery set that will be available June 3rd. Over the last week or so you have seen multiple examples with more layers and DSP than I normally use. For this card, I went Clean and Simple the whole way! Here are the colors from Color Throwdown and the sketch from Freshly Made:
I fell in love with the crisp black, white and turquoise colors across at CTD and was very flummoxed by the sketch across at FMS. Now... one of the whole things about challenges is that they force you to look at things differently. At first I wanted to run and hide from this sketch and love that it forced me to sit, ponder and try to come up with something using a single set of stamps. In the end I went with Forever Fernery and utilized two stamps from that set.
I stamped the one leaf stamp twice and one a single time. I die-cut them and set them aside. I then took the "dots" stamp and created vertical stripes of slightly different lengths and then popped the leaves over the top of them and added the sentiment. Because I just couldn't stop putzing... I added a little shimmer with a turquoise/aqua gel pen. Here's a closeup:
It was really easy to go over some of the "dots" with the gel pen as the head of the pen was exactly the same size as some of the dots. The other dots I left as is.
Here's my full card:
I love really do love the crisp colors and have other ideas for this sketch! I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a lift tonight.
