Forever Greenery for Atlantic Hearts Sketches #369

Happy Saturday!

With apologies to Brahms :-) I have "variations on a theme" for you today all using the new Forever Greenery DSP and the Forever Flourishing dies - both available in the new Stampin' UP! 2020/2021 catalog and available on June 3rd.  I made my first card using the sketch across at Altantic Hearts

For the most part, the DSP in the Forever Greenery set are way busier than I would normally use, but I really am trying to challenge myself to use more DSP.  Consequently, I bought the Forever Greenery and the In Good Taste DSP, that is also available on June 3rd.  Both are way outside of my comfort zone, but you will be seeing a few cards made from these sets in the next few days.

For my first card, I used the striped side of one of the sheets.  I paired that with two leaves cut from the Forever Flourishing dies, as well as a pre-cut gold leaf that I had left over from an SU card kit.  I used some left over gold mirror card stock and die-cut  a circular frame for my circular sentiment.  I added a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock behind the DSP on my card base.

Here's my card:

Forever Greenery Forever Flourishing (1 of 1)

Once I had finished my card, I had a strip of the striped paper left.  I decided to use that as the starting point for my second card - also featuring the Forever Flourishing Dies.

I started with a white card base, added the strip of left over DSP and then added two die-cut ginko leaves from the Forever Flourishing dies.  I die-cut one from the Forever Greenery DSP and another from a piece of left over vellum.  I stamped the sentiment and added that to my card with a little fun foam underneath.  Here's my second card:

Forever Greenery Forever Flourishing (1 of 1)-3

I then decided to go waaaay outside of my comfort zone and use one of the fern pieces from the DSP.  This particular paper reminds me of our fernery growing in our little bit of woodland.  I added some stamped and die cut elements from the Forever Fern stamp set that were die-cut using the matching dies in the Fourever Flourishing dies.  I added a leftover strip of DSP behind the sentiment and leaves.

Forever Greenery Forever Flourishing (1 of 1)-4

These cards are part of the collection I am building for cardsforseniors.  I intend to spend some time in my craft room this weekend making more cards and using more DSP!  I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card and some wildlife photos.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Marina, so glad they sparked an idea. You are right, you could take the designs and use any floral, feathers, etc. instead of the leaves.

Sally, thanks so much. It really is pretty paper and am pushing myself to find more uses for it. I like the different shades of green they use in the DSP.

First two cards are stunning! I love the water colore like stripes and the vellum really adds a lot to the whimsy of the second card. Thank you for joining us at Atlantic Hearts this week.

Jaydee, you are amazing! All 3 of these cards are so elegant looking. The Senior will like these!

I love these cards. When I first saw the DSP, I thought too much green. But that is not so in your cards. I would now prefer more leaves rather than a whole bunch of flowers. I will have to add these to my next order. Thanks for the inspiration.

Jaydee, thanks so much for the inspiration . . . I love these cards . . . I do not have the fern/greenery dies but the idea is there . . . I will manage . . . thank you!!
