Hi there. Happy Friday!
I saw this great sketch across at FreshlyMade and immediately had an idea of what stamps I would use. I decided to use the retiring Stampin' Up! set called Nine Lives. It's such a fun set and I think it really worked well for the idea I had in my head.
With all of us quarantined at home someone created an internal social channel all about cats. People are posting pictures and videos of their new managers (of the feline variety) and it's fun to pop in a couple of times a day and oooh and aaahh over some rather gorgeous, naughty, tired, playful kitties. So, now that you have the background, I think my card will make more sense.
I stamped the main image from Nine Lives three times. I then added the calico pattern to one and the tabby pattern to the second. The third one I left as is and colored it with my markers. I then used a film strip die - you could easily re-create this with a strip of card stock and a square die or punch. I die cut it one with white card stock and then again with black. The colored the little squares that were left and adhered the white frame and the colored squares to my card base. I then placed the kitties where I wanted them, fussy cut them and then adhered them to colored squares. I then added the black frame and stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum.
Here's my trio of kitty "photos":
I love this set, but am really excited about a replacement set coming up in the new catalog!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hi Marina. yeah... I've collected lots of lovely things over the years :-) And, yes, the cat channel at work has really helped lower stress levels :-)
