Happy Tuesday!
I have a quick post for you today, showcasing one of my favorite sets from Altenew - Enchanted Iris. Iris were one of my Mom's favorite flowers and I always love it when they come up in our woodland every spring. Here's a quick view of what some of them looked like this spring.
Here's the challenge across at Color Dare.
I stamped and colored the Iris. Green for the leaves, blue for the shading behind the flowers and light purple for the flowers. I also added some yellow-green into the middle of the flowers. To create some texture behind the flowers, I ran a piece of card stock through my Big Shot with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. Here's my card:
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, here's what was hanging around at the feeder yesterday:
Lou had put peanuts out for the blue jays - but the black squirrel didn't take long to find them! I'd never seen a black squirrel until Lou and I were in Canada about 15 or so years ago. I was fascinated. We didn't see another one until we were looking at buying a lot to build our house on back in 2011. We were so surprised to see one and loved that there were wild Iris growing in the woodland - which we didn't notice until we moved into the house in May as they just started flowering then.
Keep safe and warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

Oh my, your card is beautiful...one of my mom's favorite late spring flowers along side of our driveway, waiting for them to bloom along with the other perennials. The embossed sponged background really sets off those iris. Gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.
