Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our PaperPlayers challenge this week and it's clean and simple week. For my card, I inked up the new Stampin' Up Loyal Leaves set with a monochromatic color scheme.
For my card, I went with grey on white and kept it really clean and simple. I did add some background to the leaves with a the bubbles stamp from Whale Done and the squares from Tasteful Touches. I added some shading to the leaf and fussy cut it and mounted on foam. I couldn't resist a couple of crystal dots from the Elegant Faceted Gems. Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along with Joanne's clean and simple challenge. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
The weather was glorious yesterday. Almost no humidity. Hardly a leaf was fluttering in the win. It was in the low 70s. GLORIOUS. It was so gorgeous that Lou and I decided it was time to gussy-up our deck. Generally we leave it pretty much alone and concentrate on the screened in porch. In summer it's generally too hot and humid and the mosquitoes are unrelenting. But on days like yesterday, we really wanted to sit out under the sky. So, it was off to a couple of stores to buy an outdoor carpet and an umbrella. We sat out before dinner last night - and again afterwards. We were within feet of the birds at the feeder. They were reluctant to come to the feeder at first, but eventually they just decided to ignore us! The catbird wasn't happy.... he/she flew up to the feeder, looked at us and flew back into the tree. Once there she/he let out a meeeeeew sound and I knew that he/she was NOT happy. In the end, the jelly won her/him over :-)
I'll be back with another card later today. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Stunning in its simplicity Jaydee! I love the soft grey and the background detail (I never know how to use those texture-type stamps!) A perfect CAS thank you.

My goodness what a terrific CAS design, Jaydee! The simplicity with just a tiny bit of background stamping and that beautiful leaf, all in soft gray, make this one gorgeous card. It would also work perfectly for a sympathy or encouragement card. Love!!
