Happy Thursday!
I have a two quick card sfor you today. One made using the great sketch across at Sketch Saturday I have to admit that I am obsessed with the beautiful DSO from Stampin' Up! called Whale of a Time. I just love fussy cutting the images from the paper. And one made using the Peony Garden DSP from Stampin' Up! using the color challenge across at Just Us Girls. It also uses a sketch that I got from a challenge... but UGH... I can't remember which one!
Here's the sketch for the card using Whale of a Time:
I used two pieces of the DSP from the set for the vertical elements and created a sentiment on my laptop and printed that. I fussy cut a couple of elements (I just love these turtles!) for the area around the sentiment and added a couple of clear "bubbles" for a little additional texture.
Here's my card:
Here's the color challenge from Just Us Girls:
I wasn't sure what to use for this and then noticed I had the Peony Garden DSP on my craft desk and a piece of the black and white DSP was the one showing through the plastic. Ah. HA! I decided to use the black and white DSP and color it with my copic markers to color the flowers turquoise and the leaves kraft. I'd never do that normally, and it felt really good to get out of my comfort zone and do something different!!! I wish I could remember where I got the sketch from - again ... something outside of my comfort zone! Anyway, I colored the ribbon with my markers to get another shot of kraft into the challenge card.
Here's my card:
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee
