Forever Fern Love and Laughter Forever After for Paper Players #502

Happy Sunday!

It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week and I inked up my Stampin' Up! Forever Fern set as it comes with the perfect sentiment.

So, I know I went all out with this set for our Paper Players challenge #501.....  ELEVEN layers on my card last week!  I decided this week it was time to get back to my CAS roots.  This card is very clean and very simple.

I began by stamping one of the leaves from the set with Early Espresso.  Yep... I know.  It doesn't look like Early Espresso at all.  But, I promise, it is!  However, I realized I'd had the ink pad so long that the color had gone off and was just about jet black.  However, I loved the crisp clean stamp that I got from it.  All I had to do was die-cut the leaves, pop them on the card, add a little bling in the form of a heart and the card was ready.

Here's my card:

Oh, so different to last week! :-)  I hope you will join us and play along with Laurie's theme challenge.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

I haven't had any time to play in my cave this week, but I am desperately trying to get time today.  If I do, then I will have some cards to share with you during the week.  Before I go, let's see what's been visiting the feeder this week?

I managed to catch a shot of a juvenile male rosebreasted grosbeak and a mourning dove in the background.  Pity the dove is in perfect focus and the grosbeak isn't!

At the same time, I managed to capture this shot of the young male redbellied woodpecker.

I'll (hopefully) be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
