Love of Leaves for As You See It #232
17 August 2020
Happy Monday!
I have a quick post for you tonight featuring the new Stampin' Up! Love of Leaves set. I used it with the colors from the As You See Challenge this week - which is color week:
I stamped the leaves using Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze and added touches of Bermuda Bay with a frame and also with some "dots". Here's a closeup:
I used my stylus to create the Bermuda dots by placing the stylus directly on the inkpad and then "stamping" the stylyus onto the card. I die-cut the rectangle from the middle and mounted it onto a Bermuda Base. I popped that up from the rest of the stamped area. I stamped the sentiment and offset a small piece of Bermuda Bay underneath the sentiment. Here's my full card:
On a personal note:
I didn't get any chance to make cards yesterday because I was busy organizing. I really needed to sort out the cards I've made, catalog them and get them ready to be sent off. I stamped the back of each of the cards with my new "made by" stamp and added envelopes. The top of my crafting desk was a mess, so Charlie decided he would supervise - from inside my storage box! I don't think he was particularly impressed by the mess.
I ran out of tape when I was labelling everything and went looking for new tape. Well, that led to the purchase of a present! I got so excited by the new Brother P-touch label cube. I mean REALLY excited! So, Lou was kind enough to buy it for me and I have just spent the last hour playing with it! Lots more organization and relabelling to do this week!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Love that kitty! Where did you purchase the stamp with your name on it? I haven't found one that I've been truly in love with as of yet. Mine is probably 25 years old and it is time for it to be replace.

Marilyn, he's a handsome kitty, isn't he! I have purchased several personalized stamps and don't use them because they are just too big. I found this one on etsy and love it because it's only 1". This is the link to the one that I purchased, but she has other styles, too. https://www.etsy.com/listing/714880362/made-by-stamp-handmade-by-stamp-custom?
Hopefully the link works for you. Otherwise the shop is called ThePrintMint

Marina, he was supervising. He likes to get on my craft table and re-arrange everything on it! In this case he decided to re-arrange the envelopes :-)

Great card, Jaydee! I've been told those are horse chestnut leaves which reminds me of my childhood, as we had a horse chestnut tree in our backyard and I vivdly remember those leaves. I love the little touches of Bermuda Bay you've added. So clever the way you added the dots! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges!

Such a pretty card, Jaydee, and such a pretty set. The stylus dots are an awesome way to add some subtle touches of colour to your design. Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It Challenge.
