Very Versailles and Free as a Bird for As You See It #231

Happy Friday.  Where has this week gone?  It's been another one of those weeks with long work days that just run into each other!  I am hoping to get into my crafting cave this weekend to recover some of my equilibrium!

I have a card for you using the Stampin' Up! sets Very Versailles and Free as a Bird.  Another two sets that will stay with me long after they have retired!  I was inspired to use them because of the sketch across at As You See It

It's a really unusual layout and I decided to use a background stamp and the free as a bird image to create the focal elements.  I kept the color scheme to shades of yellow/orange and loosely colored the birds and popped them off the base layer.  For the element on the top left, I used the sun stamp from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  Here's my card:

I carried the sunshine them to the inside

I used the same papers as I had used on the front of my card to decorate the flap of the envelope.  I die-cut the envelope flap using a die set from the mini catalog called Ornamental Envelopes.  It has some great holiday themed days, but I thought many of them (including this one) worked well beyond the holidays.

Here's the envelope:

I'll be back tomorrow with another card - and photos of what has been visiting the feeder.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Well this is just beautiful Jaydee! My sketch was a challenge this week but I absolutely adore your interpretation of it - this card is indeed full of sunshine, so cheery! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!

What a bright cheerful card! As I sit here listening to the birds outside my window, it's very appropriate! Love the colors and background! Thanks for sharing this with us at As You See It!

What a lovely bright card, Jaydee! You've combined two of my favourite sets in this one. Your interpretation of the sketch is great. I was also interested to see what you did with the envelope as I've just bought that set but have yet to use it. Thanks for joining in with us again at As You See It Challenge.

Wooooowwwwwwwww . . . that envelope is "beaucoup" work!!! Do you have to glue separately all the tiny pieces??? Enjoy your weekend and relax!!
