Birds of a Feather for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #385
12 September 2020
Happy Saturday!
The design team across at Atlantic Hearts have another fabulous sketch for us to use this week. I love playing along for two reasons. #1 the sketches ... they always challenge me and I really like that. #2 the design team always stop by and leave personalized comments - and that's rare for a lot of challenge sites! We do that at the Paper Players and I know how much time it takes to consistently do that - so cheers to the DT at AHSC :-)
Now, on to this week's sketch:
It took me a little while to work out what I wanted to do. I stood in front of my crafting cupboard and stared at my stamps.... I decided that the main image from the Birds of a Feather set would work perfectly for the horizontal element and I would create the half circle element from my good old Tim Holz sunray stencil!
Here's my card:
In the closeup you can see that I did some really simple coloring - took me no more than a minute or so.
On a personal note:
OK. We had frost yesterday morning. Yes... that would be FROST - meaning it was COLD and it was only the second week of September. This last week has been grey, dull, wet and cold. Mmmm... Did I suddenly teleport to the England of my youth? For the last two weekends it has been way too cold to sit out on our deck and have tea in the morning or cocktails in the evening! Mind you.. it is going to get back to the 80s this week! So, hopefully, we should be able to enjoy our deck again. We were out there a couple of weeks ago and I took some shots showcasing the solar lights we put onto the deck railing to add some warm ambient light. We love the look of them:
Don't they look pretty? It'll be interesting to see how much light they give off tonight considering it's been dull and grey all day:-)
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Great card, Jaydee. I must use that stamp set more often, it’s so versatile.
Amazing decking, you and Lou did a lovely job. It reminds me of my balcony when I lived in Spain. Very Moorish. Have a great day.
