Today is the first day of our long weekend. I don't go back to work until Wednesday! So, I got some time to play along with a couple of challenges. The first features one of my favorite old Stampin' Up! sets called Hey, Chick. It's Sale-a-Bration set from 2017 and is one of those sets that I will always keep. I just love it! When I saw the sketch across at AAA - and the optional theme, I tried to mimic a film roll, although, it really is a polaroid strip! So, I didn't quite accomplish the optional theme!
I used the My Favorite Things Polaroid shaker frame and die-cut it three times from black card stock. I stamped and colored three chicks from the Hey, Chick set and cut them to fit the frames. I mounted them onto a Neenah Solar White 110# card base and added the sentiment underneath.
Here's my card:
Honestly, such a cute stamp set! Those chicks make me smile every time I see them!
On a personal note:
NOOOOOOO..... :-) we were out shopping today and noticed the trees were turning. Luckily the trees in our woodland haven't started turning yet, so I can look at them and pretend that fall isn't arriving. Not that I dislike fall - I think it's a fabulous season... it just means that snow is right behind it and I am SO, SO, SO not ready for winter.
As I have a few days off, I will be doing a few things around the house and then intend to spend some time practicing my sketching and coloring and trying to play along with a few challenges. I also hope to get out and take some photographs.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
