Happy Friday.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lou and I had a quiet day relaxing. I did get to spend some time in my craft room and have a couple of cards to share with you tonight using the Stampin' Up! Wishes and Wonder set.
Before we get to the cards, let's talk about blog candy! I have a few extra goodies and want to share them with you - my favorite blog readers. In this time of being grateful - I really am grateful to all of you who read my blog, comment or send me messages. I know there are a gazillion blogs you can visit, and so appreciate that you chose to visit mine. My especial thanks to those of you who have been with me a very long time!
So, what do you have to do to be in line as a blog candy winner?
Follow me on instagram --- you will notice that right underneath my blog header there is now a link to instagram. Or you can click right here.
I think you are probably asking yourself why on earth, after all this time, have I decided to become active on Instagram.... good question! When I was getting the cards ready to send out to seniors, kids, etc. I realized I had SO many cards that I had made that I had never shared with you. I also have nature shots that I haven't shared. Putting together my blog takes me about an hour - posting a card or nature shot on instagram will make it much easier.
I am guessing many of you are already followers of other crafters on instagram - just as I am about to do! Right now - the instagram account is devoid of photos, but I intend to add some up there tomorrow. I'll leave the blog candy open until midnight on Sunday 6th of December. I'll also remind you about it on the upcoming posts :-) Tomorrow I will share a couple of photos of the blog candy on offer!
Now... onto the cards for tonight. Wishes and Wonder is a great set and I have now made 4 cards with it. One of them is still to be shared and you won't see that for a couple of weeks.
For the first card, I decided to use up some of the DSP that I just don't know what to do with - namely Wonders of the Season and Plush Poinsettia. I find that the Wonders of the Season paper is just too bright and the images and text just too large. So, I softened them with a piece of Plush Poinsettia over the top. Once again, I used one of my favorite go to designs.
The only difference between the first two cards is that I added some red to the North Pole stamp. It allowed me to add in a third touch of red. I can't make up my mind whether I prefer it or not. What do you think?
I love the texture the Poinsetta paper adds. The gold from the Wonder of the Season adds a little glimmer - but doesnt overpower the card and at least I am using it instead of having the paper sit in my craft room :-)
For my next card, I used some DSP from the Brightly Gleaming pack. Instead of die-cutting the deer with brown card stock, I used some of the Copper Metallic paper instead.
The tag is from the Wishes and Wonder die set. I love the copper and the green together and, once again, gave me an excuse to use up some of the DSP I have been hoarding.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Love the green and copper together. I also like the added red to the North Pole stamp. Hoping you will still post the occasional nature shots on your blog. If you don't have your own account with Instagram (and Facebook) you are either limited to the number of posts you can see or blocked completely, even when the account is public. I'm not on social media and have found I'm quite often blocked from viewing any posts. I'm sure it will be much easier and faster for you to post more photos so I hope you have lots of fun with it.

These are very pretty cards, Jaydee. I'm probably one of the few followers who doesn't use Instagram. I guess it's time I should start. Thanks for the nudge and the offer of blog candy. Enjoy your day!
