It's the fabulous Nancy's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and this is her code word:
Initially I was really tempted to go with a Valentine's Day card, but decided to go with a holiday theme instead. I pulled out some Schoolhouse Red cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and paired it with the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats die set from The Greetery. I love this little cookie die. I die cut it once with Crumb Cake cardstock and then again with glittery red paper. I sandwiched them together and added the sentiments. The focal layer was created with th Crimped Edge die - also from the Greetery. I used some ink to distress the edges, put all the elements together - and the card was ready!
Here's my card:
I needed some extra texture for the background layer, so I pulled out my Stampin' Up! Subtle 3D embossing folder. I love the linen like texture it gives :-)
Normally my CAS cards are ALWAYS white, but I thought the red somehow made a nice change! I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge. W e can't wait to see what you do with this code word!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card - and some new photos! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
