Signed and Sealed for Paper Players #528
Joyful Holiday for Addicted to CAS #192

Les Jungles for Paper Players #529 - and it's card drive time!

Happy Sunday.

Before I get to my Paper Players card and the card drive announcement, I wanted to send hugs and love to those of you who have been affected by the terrible storms of the last week.  I have friends and work colleagues in those areas hardest hit and my heart goes out to them - and to all of you who have been affected.

About our challenge this week: It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's CAS week and LeAnne has a great theme for us.  I also have an announcement about a card drive this week!  For those of you who have been with me a long time, you may remember that I have done multiple card drives throughout the history of my blog.  Together my blog readers and I have created and distributed thousands of cards to various causes.  This time, the card drive is for kids in foster homes.  There is more about this drive at the bottom of my post.

Here's LeAnne's challenge for this week:

This challenge was right up my alley and I knew that I had to ink up my old Katzelkraft Les Jungles stamp set.  I've had this set for YEARS and it's one of those that will never leave my craft cupboard.

I went really clean and simple and spent most of my time on the coloring.  I used a mix of Copics and pencils, but it was mostly pencil.  I then die cut my focal layer with my The Greetery postal frames and added it to a dark base.

Here's my card:

Katzelkraft Les Jungles (1 of 1)-3

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

I regularly make and send cards to SendaSmile4Kids.  The co-ordinator of that organization reached out to us and let us know about a card drive being run by Bearly Art.  They are trying to raise 450,000 cards.  One card for every child that is currently in a foster home.  That's a huge amount of cards, but I think that if we have enough people who know about it we can help them get closer :-)  Just a few cards can make a huge difference to the number that is raised.

So... to help things a long.  I am asking each of you to help out and create a few cards.  You can read all about the request here at Bearly Art.  I will also be offering blog candy as a thank you to those of you who participate.

I signed up and committed to send 250 cards.  I'm hoping that with your help, we can get even more cards finished!  We have until March 31st to send the cards to Bearly Art.  If you don't want to participate in the card drive you can always register  and send cards along separately.

If you would like to help contribute to the card drive, please could you leave a comment here, or send me an email.  I'd love to have an idea of how many people will be helping :-)

Here are the card guidelines.   For those of you participating in the card drive you don't have to sort them.  I will do that!

I'll be back tomorrow with another card - that I've made for this card drive!

In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for all of you who need a little lift tonight.

Jaydee, I love this lion and can see why he will never leave your stamp stash. That little bird on his head is adorable. Your coloring is beautiful and your card is CAS perfection!

What a fabulous image Jaydee - your fun lion is so majestic, I love his expression! The pop of blue from the bird is a nice touch too. Your card drive sounds like fun - which I lived closer and could contribute!

I could do a few. Would I send them to you or to Bearly Art. Do we just do the front of cards and no message inside,
