Signed and Sealed for Paper Players #528
14 February 2021
Happy Sunday and Happy Valentine's to all of you! I hope you have a wonderful day and you are all spoiled by those that love you.
It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. There are choices to be made :-) Black and white with red and or pink and then paired with a metallic of gold/silver. For my choices I went with red and gold. I had to pull out of of my favorite sets - Signed and Sealed (I know you must be tired of seeing this set!) But... I really just love it.
I paired the Signed and Sealed stamps and dies with my other favorite Postal Frames die for a clean and simple card.
Here's my card:
The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you this week and they range from Valentine's to Christmas. I hope you will pop along and check out their blogs and then join us and play along. We can't wait to see what YOU create.
On a personal note:
Well, it's cold AGAIN! This is the coldest weekend of winter where the air temps are in the -20s and the wind chills at -45. Lou and I were out doing a little shopping yesterday and just getting the goodies from the trolley into the boot felt incredibly cold. The sunshine and blue skies lull you into a false sense of security, which quickly turns to reality the minute you get out of the car. So, I spent a little longer than normal in Joann's and TJ Maxx. After all, Valentine's Day is over tomorrow and I have to take down the decorations and prepare for the next one. St Patty's day!
I do have a couple of wildlife shots to share with you. Firstly, I wanted to share a photo of the snow and how it clung to the screening on the screened in porch. It looked as though someone hung privacy curtains there. Bailey was a little discombobulated as he couldn't really see outside! You can see that from the his stance! Poor thing:-)
Some of you will have seen the photos of the white squirrel that has been hanging around for a couple of years. Well, Lou was looking out of the basement door and called to me to come and look at something. He had seen something move and thought it might have been the white squirrel. It was pretty hard to find it in the snow! I realized what it was and went rushing to get my phone. As the cats were outside, I knew it wasn't going to stay around long, so only had time to get the camera on my phone!
Can you see the little guy?
Smudgie was watching him very closely! So..... I know it's pretty hard to see him in the photo above... but can you see the little black tipped tail in the photo below. I zoomed in as much as I could!
Mind you... the white shadow wasn't too impressed with Smudgie, but wasn't that scared of him either! He chased the Ermine - yes, that is what it is!!! all the way down the screened in porch - but the Ermine got to the end and I swear be stuck out his little tongue and went nah-nah-nah-nah-nah!
Here's a closeup of him... well, as close as I could get!
In all the years we have lived here, it is only the 3rd time we have seen one. Once during summer when he is in his brown coat and twice in winter when he is in his white coat. The only thing that gives him away is the black tip to his tail. You can read more about this little guy right here - and there are some fabulous pics, too!
I'll be back later in the week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

It is always an adventure coming by your blog! I really think he was sticking his tongue out and saying you can't catch me. I don't envy the snow but I would enjoy the wildlife. We have tons of squirrels mind you but they aren't that cute and are quite a nuisance. As for your card and challenge this week...Beautiful valentine as I adore white on white and great colors for us! Try and stay warm.

Thanks for the fun challenge this week! Your card is such a lovely CAS design while still hitting all the choices! A true talent! And your wildlife is so fun to see...a regular old gray squirrel is rare enough for us! Have a great week!
