Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week - and she has a wonderful theme for us:
It was the perfect challenge for me to ink up my Budding Beauties Spring from The Greetery and pair it with the Bottled Up. It was also the perfect opportunity to use some light, soft, pastel, spring-time colors!
I inked and stamped the elements and then die-cut them all. I really love this bottled up stamp set and die and think it's going to get lots of use! Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along this week. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.
On a personal note:
Well, I have been busy trying to make a couple of cards every day for the Bearly Art card drive for kids in foster care. I'm only up to about 65, so have a long way to go. Luckily, the first batch of card drive submission cards arrived from Karen yesterday! Thank you, Karen! Consequently, I will be spending more time in my craft room today trying to add more to the collection.
Spring is certainly making a short appearance here. We will be getting up to the 60s for a couple of days this week, before it drops down again. The snow pack is slowly melting and on Friday we noticed the arrival of the first of the spring birds - the Robin's. It has been wonderful to hear their early morning calls for the first time since they left us in October!
The snow and ice have all gone from the bird bath on the deck now. but I managed to capture this shot of the red bellied woodpecker having a drink before it all melted.
They are frequent visitors to our water bowls and feeders and they are full of character. You can read more about them at this link.
Well, I am off to go make some more cards and photograph the ones that I've created so that I can share them with you this week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee
