It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week!
I'm so looking forward to the arrival of our first buds, but we are still a few weeks away for that here. However, that doesn't stop me dreaming about green things popping up out of the ground and the first shades of color. Some of our first plants are the Prairie Smoke and our Iris. For today's card I used some of my Mom's favorite flowers - tulips. I love this set called Budding Beauties Spring from The Greetery. I paired it with a fabulous set called Mason Around. I love the multiple layer Mason Jar stamp and I used the matching stencils for the "jar filler" in the background. As this was a white card base, I added some blue blending in the background and tried to create the effect of the mason jar being on a table.
Here's my card:
If you have the Mason Around set or are thinking of buying it, I do have one piece of advice for you. I found that layering the jar in reverse worked better for me when trying to line up the "Freshly Made" on the jar. I found it made the process so much faster.
As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, the cards for Bearly Art arrived just under the finish line! So, this week I got the chance to catch up on some of my design team commitments. That means tomorrow will be spent creating cards just for the heck of it! I might even get to enter some challenges.
I was lucky enough to have my first COVID vaccination on Thursday. About 24 hours after I found that I was naseous, dizzy and really, really tired. All those things are good things - that means that my body is doing what it is supposed to be doing! I am so looking forward to the second vaccine. Lou is still waiting for an appointment for his and we are hoping it will happen soon.
We have almost finished changing out the decor for spring and should be finished that tomorrow. I promise I will share some photos. Some of our Spring birds have made the trip back and it is wonderful to hear the Robins and the Red Winged Blackbird songs. However the Junco's are still here! That means that spring hasn't quite arrived yet. Mind you, with the warm days coming up, we think they will finish their trips up north and we won't see them again until October. We also know that it is about a month before we see the Orioles, the Hummingbirds and the Grosbeaks. Now... we can't wait for that!
I hope you are all staying safe and enjoying this warmer weather. I'll be back with a card and some photos in a couple of days. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
