Posy Heart Pocket Forget Me Nots for AtlanticHeartsSketches #416

Happy Sunday - Again :-)

Just a quick post as I wanted to share one of the cards I made today.  As always, I went looking for some inspiration and visited one of my favorite sites - AtlanticHeartsSketches.  I'd like to give a shout-out to the DT.  Not only do they have great challenges, but the design team are amazing about leaving meaningful comments on the submission cards.  In my experience, not ever challenge site does that, so it makes it extra special when the DT members take the time.

This is their great sketch for this week.  As you can see, I changed it to the vertical instead of the horizontal as I needed it to fit my posy heart pocket and forget me nots from The Greetery.

Screen Shot 2021-04-18 at 7.33.26 PMFor the bottom patterned area of the card, I decided to blend some blue and green inks and then use the shiplap die from The Greetery and then adhered that to the base.

After that, I die-cut and stamped a thank you on the Posy Heart Pocket.  Then I got to work on die-cutting and coloring the forget me nots.  I placed them in the posy and then popped up the flowers with a little foam dimensional to stop them from lying flat on the card.

So, I was getting ready to photograph the card, but then the heavens opened and I had no daylight.  I had to wait for a quick break in the rain to try and find a window with some natural light left.  So, this card was photographed at 7.15 - and sadly, doesn't really pick up the colors properly.  But, you get the general idea!

I'll be back on Tuesday with another card I made today.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
