Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and this is her code word:

When I think of "beach", I think of freedom and putting my toes in the water and enjoying the freedom and the fresh breezes.  I don't care if that beach is a pink beach in Australia, or a stony beach in England, or the tree strewn beaches of the Pacific North West.... there is something about that first view of the water and the urge to put my toe in it!  So the Fabulous You set from Stampin' Up! really spoke to me  It's one of those sets that I cherish and that will never leave my "collection"!

For this card, I inked up the image, colored it and added a simple sentiment.  I put the focal layer onto a texture Pool Party layer and my card was complete.

Here's my card:

Fabulous You ATCAS (1 of 1)

As you can see, I blended a sunny sky just to add a touch of warmth - to match my sentiment.  I love the texture from the card stock.  I really hold on to these old fragments and use them sparingly.  Am I the only one who does this?

I hope you will join us and play along with the challenge.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration.

On a personal note:

Today reached 97.  Uhm.. a few days ago we were just above a freeze warning!  But, I am loving the green leaves that have come in and the flowers that are popping.  It truly is a gorgeous time of the year!  I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card and some photos!

@marina... I did get your question about what to put in your bird feeders... but as I don't really know where you are located - and the types of birds that are in your area - it's difficult for me to advise you specifically.  The only thing I can tell you is that water, food and housing are the tings that the birds need more than anything, and we try to provide all 3 things.  We've done research to determine the types of birds that visit our garden and then work out what housing and feed requirements they have.  We have tried to space the bird houses at just the right locations; we have also placed "wood piles" for those that like to be able to hide in them, and always provide fresh water in the forms of fountains and baths that they can use to cool off - and drink from.  Research and trial and error are key.  We still get things wrong, but over the years we have learned a few things about our local birds.  It really has been so worth while :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
