Happy Sunday It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week. I decided it was time to ink up the Budding Beauties Summer set from The Greetery with some bright colors. I stamped and die-cut them and then arranged the florals in a bunch tied with a nice big bow. Here's my card: I used my favorite Postal Frames die to die cut the base of the card. I really do love that scalloped edge. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you. Ann Claire Jaydee Joanne Laurie LeAnne... Read more →
Happy Monday. I managed to get into my craft room yesterday and made a card for Freshly Made Sketches and FestiveFriday. (Plaid, blue, things with wheels, clean and simple) I was so excited that Festive Friday had plaid as one of the options. I love plaid and have tried a couple of the stamp sets that allow you to make your own stripes. To be honest, my stripes made with stamps look more like drunk worms. I can never get them straight and get frustrated. However, The Greetery came out with two different plaid making stencils - one for horizontal... Read more →
Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week. It's a CAS week and Joanne has a wonderful theme for us: The minute I saw this challenge I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use. This Penny Black Berry Kissed stamp has been in my stash for years. I don't ink it up often, but I absolutely love it. Like last night's stamps, it will be in my stash for a long time. To create my card, I inked up the various portions of the stamps (berries, leaves, stems) using Catherine... Read more →
Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Sue's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and this is her code word: Considering how hot it has been, and how long since we have had rain - this seems like a very appropriate code word right now! For my card, I pulled out one of my all time favorite Stampin' Up! sets - Free as a Bird. I paired it with a Tim Holtz stencil that I have had for so many years, I can't even remember when I bought it! Both of these are things that will never leave... Read more →
Happy Sunday, It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week: I love these bright, summery colors they work so beautifully together and even though they are way outside of my comfort zone, I loved playing with them. I decided to bring out my Pinwheel Party set from the Greetery. I thought these colors would make a fabulous birthday card. I know you saw this set a couple of weeks ago on this post, but for this card, I changed the direction, but still get the bright colors. Here's my card: One... Read more →
