Happy Monday I love playing along with the Festive Friday challenges when I can. They really are such fun and educational! The most recent challenge celebrates National Flag Week and I'm getting this card in right under the wire! For my card I went with CIRCLES, BRIGHT COLORS and STARS. I pulled out my Pinwheel Party set from the greetery. It comes with some fabulous layered stencils (btw... no-one does stencils like The Greetery - they are SO easy to use!) I used some really bright greens, yellows and oranges to create multicolored circles. My stars were added around the... Read more →

Happy Sunday, again! I have a quick post for you tonight. I managed to escape to the cool of my craft room and make some cards this afternoon. I went looking for some inspiration and found exactly what I was looking for at AtlanticHearts For some reason the minute I saw this sketch I thought of the SU set Free as a Bird. I paired it with some retired SU DSP and a couple of gold leaves/flowers that came in an old Paper Pumpkin set. I stamped and colored the birds in a way that I thought complimented the pinks... Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week - and this is her theme: I know most of you would the thinking beaches, sand, lakes, school holidays ... but for me... my card was based on what was going on outside our front door! Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and this is her code word: When I think of "beach", I think of freedom and putting my toes in the water and enjoying the freedom and the fresh breezes. I don't care if that beach is a pink beach in Australia, or a stony beach in England, or the tree strewn beaches of the Pacific North West.... there is something about that first view of the water and the urge to put my toe in it! So the Fabulous You set from Stampin' Up! really... Read more →

Happy Tuesday. I have a quick post for you today showcasing the fabulous dies from the Greetery called Botanicuts Lilies. I paired it with the Knit Wits Stencil - also from The Greetery. I was inspired by both the photo and the sketch across at Fusion: I love the mixture of the blues, white and pink in the inspiration photo and that's what led me to the lilies. I die-cut them and then colored them with my blending brushes and pencils. I added the detail lines with my pencils. I then used some Catherine Pooler blue ink with the knit... Read more →
