Happy Saturday!
I got the chance to go play with ink and paper in my craft room today. I needed some inspiration so went looking for a sketch and found this one across at Freshly Made Sketches.
I needed to turn the sketch on its side to fit the arrangement I had in mind. I inked up my Birthday Blooms stamps from The Greetery and created floral corners from the stamps. The great thing about these stamps is that they are all individual, so you can make up any pattern you want!
Once I was happy with the corners, I ran the front panel through my Platinum 6 using the Postal Frames die and then stamped and die cut the sentiment from the same Birthday Blooms set.
Here's my card:
Aren't those blooms so pretty? I could have made the different flowers different colors, but decided to keep to the same cherry kisses and lipstick. I have to tell you that I am LOVING the ink cubes from the Stamp Market. They are by far my most favorite inks. They are vibrant and stay vibrant and they are smooth. Love them! I don't have to tell anyone that Postal Frames is one of my favorite dies..... :-)
On a personal note:
Well, the temps dropped almost 20 degrees overnight and we got some rain. It's been so hot for so long that 74 degrees felt so cold that I almost put on a jersey! Minneapolis averages around 12.9 days of temps above 90 in a year. This year we are already over 120% of that total. It really his been dreadfully hot and humid and the lack of water has made the plants really suffer. Even though we plant native plants, they have taken a beating this year. The birds continue to use out bird bath on the deck railing and sometimes it feels like JFK airport - with so many birds waiting on the railing to take their turn at the bath!
It's the time of the year when the birds that were nesting north of us are making their way down south. We are always happy to be a feeding spot for them. Here's a couple of Grosbeaks enjoying a quick snack.
It's amazing how well they are camouflaged when they are in the trees. They love the seed, the jelly and the suet - and, of course, the bird bath!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Beautiful card Jaydee; simple & yet elegant.
Thanks for sharing a bit of your nature with us; even tho they are just birds, I still enjoy watching them at our own feeders.
Have an enjoyable day

The card is so beautiful . . . I have to be patient (actually over a year) to see my goodies. I will try the inks, they look so brilliant in your card.
