Gettin Cozy for Paper Players 565

Happy Sunday!

It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's tic-tac-toe time:

die-cuts, leaves, embellishments
I went with die-cuts, leaves and embellishments for my clean and simple card.  I was inspired by the "leaves" portion of the tic-tac-toe and brought them into the focal image as well as the sentiment.  It was a great excuse to ink up my Gettin' Cozy set from The Greetery again.
I did some very simple coloring and then die-cut the image.  For the embellishments, I decided to cover up the argyle pattern that is on the Moose's jumper and use some fancy heart embellishments instead!  He just seems so dapper and handsome with his heart-embellished jersey.  Mmmmm... reminds me of the very handsome and very dapper Colin Firth in Bridget Jones's Diary.  Crazy Christmas sweaters, anyone? :-)
Here's my card:
Getting Cozy (1 of 1)
This cute little set always makes me smile!  I added a few leaves swirling around the central characters and die-cut and popped them off the base.  With the winds we have had the last few days, the leaves certainly have been swirling!  I really just love this time of year. I hope you will check out the fabulous inspiration from our amazingly talented design team.
On a personal note.
This morning we woke to a fog covered wetland.  It was magical.  Made even more so by the Coyotes hunting at 10.30 last night!!!  They have become such frequent visitors that the cats don't even raise an eyebrow from their warm comfy seats!
We are told that tonight we have a faint chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis.  In all the years we have lived in this state we have never seen them.  BUT... they are absolutely on my life list.  So.... crossing my fingers and toes that we might get a glimpse!
I did get to spend some time in my craft room today.  However, the time was spent catching up on my design team commitments.  I am usually so far ahead with those, but with my hand and travels, I am far behind.  I'm hoping to get in tomorrow to catch up with the final cards that I have to make.  After that, I'll be spending time in the kitchen prepping some food for the coming week.  If I don't do that I end up eating junk for lunch and then suffering for the rest of the afternoon.
I hope you are all keeping safe and am sending warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Oh, Jaydee! You've used that cute set again! This card is so adorable. Your coloring, as always, is spot on. And that sentiment...gah...it is SO sweet. I hope you get to see the Aurora Borealis. I saw it once when I was in elementary school. It was amazing. Thank you for making my challenge shine. Have a fabulous week!

I just love every card you make with this cute set Jaydee, but I might be a little more partial to this handsome chap in his heart-embellished sweater (or maybe it was the Colin Firth reference!) Hope you got to see the lights - they are on my bucket list too!

Debbie Crowley

Jaydee, this is such an adorable card. Love those swirling leaves! We've had more windy days here than not lately and I also just love this time of year. I hope you got to see the Aurora Borealis! That is definitely on my life list.

Absolutely adorable, Jaydee! That little trio of critters just makes me smile. The little heart embellishments on the sweater are the perfect detail, too.
