Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats for Festive Friday FF097

Happy Friday.

It's another INSPO challenge at Festive Friday this week - and it's a really SWEET challenge :-)

I went with cookie, texture, circles, brown

Now, I must admit I am not a baker!  I can bake... but I have an aversion to anything stuck under my fingernails or on my hands in general.  Don't ask me why, I have absolutely no idea.  And, yes, I know that there are mixers that will do that kind of thing, but I just can't handle it.  Even cutting and slicing avocado drives me crazy and has me rushing to the sink to constantly wash my hands!  That being said, I'm all about using die-cut cookies :-)  So this challenge was a great excuse for me to take out my Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats from the Greetery and have some fun with texture and inks :-)

I die-cut the elements, including some "jammy" middles and added some fun fake 10001s.  Oh, I had such fun making this card.  Here it is:

Isn't that fun?  especially with the sentiment.  I used an embossing folder to give me more texture on the base layer and adhered the little 1001s with some clear glue.  I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you and I hope you will check out their creations.

I'll be back on tomorrow with my veterans day/remembrance day post and then on Sunday with my Paper Players challenge.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Oh, Jaydee! These cookies look like they are baked to perfection. I love the different centers you have given them...the jam looks so yummy! A mouth-watering card for sure!

Hilary Wright

Love this, your cookies look so realistic they are making my mouth water! xx

Sharon Hashimoto Burkert

Lovely and yummy cards!

Jaydee the biscuit layers on these cookies is so realistic - it looks just like shortbread! I love that each one has a different centre too - yummy! Your dislike for messy hands made me chuckle; as a child I hated getting my hands dirty, but as a grown up in the kitchen - no problem!

Melva Peters

Those cookies look good enough to eat!
