Botanicuts Ginkgo For Atlantic Hearts Sketches #453
01 January 2022
Happy Saturday!
Firstly, Happy New Year! Secondly, I have a card for you tonight made using the Botanicuts Ginkgo die from The Greetery. It's also one of the few cards that I make that doesn't have white card stock anywhere! I know. Shocker! :-) I was inspired to make this card by the new sketch across at Atlantic Hearts.
I die-cut and colored the ginkgo leaves and die-cut thee rectangle elements to fit the sketch. This card will be another one of the cards that I send off to the seniors. I think I need to use brown card stock more often - I really do love it with the gold and the autumnal hues of the ginkgo leaves.
Here's my card:
On a personal note:
It's cold.... really cold. We are now way below zero and won't be getting above zero for the next couple of days. With wind chill we are in the -35 to -40 range. The world really does look pretty with another round of freshly fallen snow, but it is definitely best admired from inside the house!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card - the first for 2022. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Stamps: Sentiment Suite - Birthday - The Greetery
- Dies: Botanicuts Gingko - The Greetery
Stunning card and I do like the brown. The three rectangle elements take it to another level. So beautiful. I am jealous of the snow. It was 71 here in VA yesterday and today rain. We may get a flurry on Monday. Crazy weather. Would love to see a photo of your snow. Happy New Year to you and Lou.

Jaydee, I love your card in dark colors. Like you, I seldom make a card without some white cardstock on it. Now I'm inspired to give it a go. Stay warm! Brrr! Enjoy your day!

What a wonderful card. I love the bright orange gingko on the dark background--it is a lovely contrast. Thank you for joining us this week at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I really like the momochromatic feel with the pop of orange and gold, super nice touches. Thanks for playing along with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC).

Happy 2022 to you and Lou! I too love the brown and orange card. The colors and shape are interestingly put together.

Jean, thanks... and to you, too! One thing about the Atlantic Hearts Sketches is that they make me think outside of my normal go to layouts - and force me to use more layers!
