Love & Cookies for Festive Friday #103

Happy Friday!

It's another fabulous challenge at Festive Friday this week and we have a great festivity for you.  I mean.... it's National Peanut Butter Lover's Day!  What a great excuse to bring out my Love & Cookies stamps and dies from The Greetery.

Well.... I have to admit.... and I know I will be in the absolute minority on this.. BUT.... (can you hear me whispering!.... I hate peanut butter!   There,  I said it!  I just absolutely detest peanut butter!   And the idea of peanut butter and jelly is ... well... I won't say it:-)   So, did you get that I don't like peanut butter yet! :-)  I don't know what it is about it...   Anyway, I know there are lots of people who love it and I applaud them for it.  Mind you, I love rhubarb and I know a lot of people don't like THAT.  So, as my mother used to say - pots and lids!  It's what makes life so wonderful :-)

Choosing my elements for this challenge was so much fun.  Luckily I had a recent purchase from the Greetery that has a little cookie die,  I decided to make a birthday card and got to use something other than a white base!

Here's our INSPO list

For my card I went with baked goods, brown and texture.   I die cut the "happy cookies" and then placed them on a kraft base.  My card base has a fabulous heart DSP that comes from a retired SU paper pack with snails. :-)

Here's my card:

Love&CookiesFF

You can see that I die-cut the "cookies" a couple of different times so that I could get the "icing" in pink and white.  Well, I am not the world's greatest baker, but I did enjoy cooking up these guys!

I hope you will join us and play along with our INSPO this week.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

We can't wait to see what you create!

On a personal note.

Well.. still cold :-)  But. the skies have been bright and the sun has been shining and the snow has been gleaming -what's not to love - as long s it's Lou that is shoveling the snow :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with my Addicted to CAS card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight

Hugs

Jaydee

Joanne James

Love those textured cookies Jaydee and the fun heart patterned base - I'll take a cookie over peanut better any day! I don't mind peanut butter to be fair, but PB & J - that is an American phenomenon I've NEVER understood lol!

Cindy Beach

I guess there are worse things not to like. I get it!
I also LOVE this card, your use of these images is delicious. I mean, cookies and polka dots, right?

Ann Schach

An adorable card, Jaydee! I absolutely LOVE these happy cookie dies! The Greetery has the neatest stamps and dies. Fellow rhubarb lover here! I LOVE rhubarb mixed with strawberries, as in Strawberry-Rhubarb pie and Rhubarb Dump Cake! I also love just plain old rhubarb pie with ice cream. I can't wait for rhubarb season! Have a wonderful week!

I know I typed a comment, Jaydee, but I must not have hit SEND. I had to laugh right out loud when I read your post. You are right... I don't know too many PB haters, but those re the things that make us unique. I love both PB AND rhubarb. I love your card and all the detail in the icing on each cookie. Your background is perfect and the crimped edges of the white panel remind me of pie crust! Strawberry rhubarb would be delightful... great card.
