Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week. The sketch made it perfect to use up some fabulous DSP that I have been hoarding for years! I used my old my favorite thing rectangle dies to cut three pieces of DSP and glued them onto my card base. All I had to do was stamp a large sentiment and die-cut it, add a couple of birds and, voila, the card was done! Here's my card: I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week. We would love to... Read more →
Happy Sunday It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's CLEAN AND SIMPLE week and Laurie's theme is BLOOMS. It was a wonderful excuse to ink up and color my favorite roses - Sketchbook Roses from The Greetery. I think when you see my card, you will see the inspiration from the fabulous badge that Nance created. I did a very lose watercolor for the roses and leaves. Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Vicky's turn to host our AddictedtoCAS this week and this is her code word. Now, as I am just on the cusp of Pisces - and I mean just! So, this challenge was right up my alley and was a perfect excuse to ink up one of my favorite My Favorite Things stamp sets called Gill Friends! I began by masking off one third of my card base and blending... Read more →
Happy Friday. It's another celebration day at Festive Friday and we have a great INSPO list for you. This INSPO list was the perfect inspiration for a pinwheel party and I totally embraced the pinwheels and bright colors. I inked up my stencils from Pinwheel Party by The Greetery and the accompanying dies. I brought out colors that I would never put together on a card. These days in Minnesota are dull and the only colors are white from the snow, brown from the leafless trees, and the color of the roads! So the idea of bright colors really made... Read more →
Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. As I am desperate for some bright colors at the end of this long winter, it was a great excuse to ink up my Botanicuts Lily and Pine Bough dies from The Greetery in these bright colors. Now, these colors are not a natural fit for me. Yellow and orange with pale green are not colors that I lean into - especially together. But, once I had started to color my florals, I realized how bright and cheerful they are. I... Read more →
